The Beacon Foundation, in partnership with Huon Valley Council and UTAS, will be hosting an online event on Thursday, 17th September, 2020, from 11.30pm to 2.00pm (RSVP is essential).

The aim of the event is to help you to support young people in the Huon Valley to understand key industries in Tasmania and the career opportunities they provide. 

Content for the session will include:-

• Online industry exploration – interviews and industry footage showcasing the workforce and the variety of job opportunities within a single industry and the associated educational and training pathways.
• Work readiness education - activities will be shared around building young people’s aspirations, confidence and skill identification. 
• Live industry involvement – Local business and industry representatives will be sharing their insights on employer expectations.
