Attention Year 11/12 Students:
New Update April 24
For those students studying Construction, Engineering and Automotive we have received the following information from TasTAFE.
Your classes will be moving online from Week 2 of Term 2. Your TasTAFE trainer will be contacting you directly before that time. The focus of your learning will be on theory activities. There will be no practical activities at the HVTTC until the COVID-19 situation eases.
Please contact Judi or Steve on 6264 0888 for further information.
Update March 30
Advice from TasTAFE is that their staff will not be onsite at the HVTTC this week. Year 11/12 Automotive, Engineering and Construction classes will therefore not be operating. HVTTC is awaiting advice from TasTAFE as to what online options might look like.
Students in the Automotive, Engineering and Construction classes should stay at home this week unless it is not practical to do so.
Update March 26
The HVTTC and ALC will be transitioning to online delivery of your learning programs from next week. While the Premier of Tasmania has requested parents to keep their young people at home from next week, the 11/12 campuses will be open for normal learning if it is not possible or practical to stay home. Advice from TasTAFE is that Automotive, Construction and Engineering will not be operating face-to-face next week.
We understand that many students have already chosen to stay away this week and we ask that each of you make some contact with Judi , Jen or Steve so that we can provide you with details about how to access the online learning. If you have access to your school email please check that in the first instance. It is pretty much guaranteed that all TASC subjects will be available online. We are waiting on confirmation from our partner RTO’s as to how each VET course will be delivered. Watch this space!
We understand that many of you will be uncertain and wary about the future. While we are here to support your learning our prime concern is for your health and well-being. Look after yourselves. Maintain your social distancing but don’t become anti-social. Support each other, keep in touch with each other and with us online. Take care.
